Strawberry Frisée Salad
Ripe fragrant strawberries are the first of the berry season in the Pacific Northwest. This light salad celebrates the beginning of summer. Choose very ripe strawberries for the vinaigrette. Frisée has a delicate flavor that accentuates the strawberries. Sliced almonds add the crunch, and if you choose, the cheese adds creaminess.

INGREDIENTS:
Vinaigrette
2 large ripe strawberries
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons walnut oil
¼ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
Salad
1 small head of frisée lettuce
1 cup strawberries, sliced or quartered
¼ cup sliced almonds, roasted
¼ cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
